We are going to be in NOLA for our anniversary over New Years 2013.  I would like to take the St Charles streetcar on Monday the 30th and make it a pub crawl for my hubby...hitting places that I've read have a lot of beers on tap like The Avenue, Carrollton Station Cooter Browns and Crescent City Brewhouse...not knowing the area can anyone help me put together which stops to get off at and in what order?  We are staying in the French Quarter and will go right after we finish up a St Louis Cemetary tour around 12:30-1...suggestion for light eats along the way?

I'd recommend you start at Avenue Pub and end at the Maple Leaf on Oak.

To get off for Avenue Pub, you want to get off at Euterpe.
For The Bulldog, get off at 8th and walk down to Magazine.
For Cooter Brown's, you'll want to get off at Riverbend (where the streetcar turns off St. Charles).
For Maple Leaf, just walk up to Oak St.

Try the food at Avenue Pub.

Anyone else can help add a few more places?

Thanks for the info Suzanne...it looks like the Streetcar ends at Napoleon and then you take the Shuttle to get to the other stops near Riverbend & Carrollton?

Yes. Your driver will walk you through the process. It's a free transfer from bus to trolley.

Oh, and plan for eating oysters at Cooter Brown's.
